Accor, in collaboration with Yaralla Sports Club, has launched Peppers Gladstone, the first five-star hotel in Central Queensland. The 32-room hotel, adjoined to the existing 60-room Mantra Gladstone at the Yaralla Sports Club, operates as a dual-branded hotel, a model Accor is familiar with in the Australian hospitality industry.
This new property is the first of its kind to open in the region in over a decade, offering an elevated level of accommodation in Gladstone and Central Queensland.
Adrian Williams, Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer PM&E, expressed that the opening of Peppers Gladstone marks a significant milestone for Accor, introducing a heightened standard of hospitality to Central Queensland.
Yaralla Sports Club’s CEO, Will Schroeder, also expressed enthusiasm about the hotel’s opening, noting that the partnership with Accor will provide a world-class accommodation option for visitors, whether in the area for business, special events, or leisure activities.
Peppers Gladstone, designed by BSPN Architects and built by Mettle Projects, offers diverse accommodation options, from King Studio Rooms to Superior Two Bedroom Apartments. All rooms include fully equipped kitchens, king-sized beds, large TVs with Chromecast, and a complimentary non-alcoholic minibar. The interior design reflects the local landscapes, including the bush, city, lush rainforests, and coastline.
Guests can avail a range of amenities, including a heated outdoor swimming pool, complimentary drinks at the pool deck bar (during select hours), exclusive access to the hotel’s cinema room, a gym, secure undercover parking, Wi-Fi, and two on-site restaurants. A member’s lounge also provides a comfortable space for refreshments.
The hybrid of Peppers Gladstone and Mantra Gladstone increases the property’s capacity to over 150 guests, bolstering the city’s ability to host events from small meetings to large expos and weddings.
Located near the CBD and adjacent to Yaralla Sports Club, Peppers Gladstone enjoys a prime location. It also serves as a modern base for leisure travelers exploring Queensland’s Capricorn Coast and the Southern Great Barrier Reef region.
Peppers Gladstone is part of a network of over 20 Peppers retreats, resorts, and hotels across Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia. This opening coincides with the brand’s 40th anniversary.
