Peter Island Resort
Peter Island Resort, a private island resort in the British Virgin Islands, will reopen on December 1, 2024. The resort, which has been closed since 2017, has undergone significant renovations, elevating its overall luxury experience.
The redesigned resort now features a new location at Deadman’s Beach, offering guests beachfront rooms and suites, two revamped villas, an expanded Yacht Club, two restaurants, a 10,000-square-foot seaside spa, and a larger events and meetings area. The resort maintains its signature intimate ambiance and warm Caribbean hospitality across its 52-room property and vast tropical terrain.
Guests can enjoy various activities at Peter Island, which boasts five stunning beaches, panoramic views of the Virgin Islands, and ample water sports opportunities. The former Sprat Bay Marina has been transformed into the Peter Island Yacht Club, redesigned to accommodate a range of vessels, including superyachts up to 200 feet. The Yacht Club offers a swimming pool, recreational area, restaurant and bar, boutique, and a commissary.
Dining options include The Drake Steakhouse, which offers beachfront fine dining with a menu of surf and turf cuisine and a vast wine collection. The Yacht Club’s Drunken Pelican is set to become a top spot in the British Virgin Islands. It offers a casual dining experience with inventive dishes and a selection of wines and craft beers.
The resort has also expanded its events and meeting area, which can accommodate up to 180 people. The oceanfront Conference Center is complemented by two event lawns and a large open-air veranda. This space is suited for weddings, receptions, meetings, and breakout sessions.
The resort’s spa, located along Big Reef Bay, provides beauty and wellness treatments. It includes seven treatment rooms, a fitness center, a yoga and meditation sanctuary, a manicure/pedicure salon, an outdoor pool, and an oceanfront hot tub. The spa uses luxury beauty products from Skin111 and Farmhouse Fresh’s organic product line.
Resort rates begin at USD 1,000 per night plus taxes and fees.
