Pink‘s husband, Carey Hart, shared some intense news with fans on May 17 as he revealed that he had been hospitalized due to a serious accident.
The 49-year-old, who is a former professional motorcycle racer and motocross athlete, recounted the incident in a new update on social media, starting by saying, “Welp, I ran out of talent 🤦🏻♂️🤣. I had a pretty nasty get off, practicing Thursday morning. Landed off a jump, bars knifed, and took the bar to the gut while going over the bars.”

“As I understand it, severed my small intestine from my colon,” he went on, detailing the extent of the injury before clarifying, “I’m fine and will recover from this.”
Hart then thanked a friend who goes by Big B for “talking me into going to the ER,” before giving thanks and an apology to his wife Pink: “A huge thanks to @pink . As always does in these situations w/ me, she steps up and takes charge at the hospital. Sorry to put you through this, yet again 🤣.”
Mentioning his two kids, Willow and Jameson, he went on, “Thanks Willz and Jamo for coming to visit today. Gonna rest up this week, and start the healing process.”
Hart shared a bunch of photos from the hospital, including a gruesome look at the more than 20 staples the doctors needed to put in his chest. Another photo showed his two kids lounging in his hospital room.

Fans and friends shared support and well wishes in response to the shocking update, with Bachelorette star Trista Sutter writing in the comments, “Thank God you’re ok!!!! That scar is one for the Carey Hart story book!”

Many more encouraged him to take it easy for smooth healing and a quick recovery.
