On Wednesday, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed the lineup of new games joining its PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in May. Players looking for their next open world to sink hours into exploring will want to check out the lineup. One of the best Star Wars games around, Red Dead Redemption 2, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, and more will join the catalog on May 19 for Premium and Extra subscribers.
Star Wars Outlaws is a sprawling adventure that successfully grafts Ubisoft’s classic open-world structure onto Star Wars. You play as scoundrel Kay Vess, who’s on the run after a job gone bad. She’ll take on contracts and perform odd jobs for the galaxy’s crime syndicates to earn some coin, and those jobs will sometimes put her squarely in the crosshairs of the Empire. Nothing’s easy in the underbelly of the Star Wars universe, but at least you can frequently wind down and play Sabacc, Star Wars’ top-notch in-universe card game. Star Wars Outlaws had a mixed reception at launch, but after a few crucial updates, it’s now one of the best Star Wars games around.

PlayStation Plus’ Game Catalog of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games is available to those who subscribe to its higher tiers, above Essential. It’s Sony’s answer to Xbox Game Pass, offering hundreds of games for subscribers to download and check out.
May 2026’s PS Plus Essential games are also available to download and include EA Sports FC 26, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Nine Sols.
