Leading up to the “Pokémon Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale” event this weekend, Mega Evolved Pokémon are getting the spotlight (more than usual) from Aug. 31 until Sept. 6, as part of the “Mega Ascension” portion of the event.

During this event, the remote raid limit will be increased to 30 per day, but most of the other bonuses are locked behind the Go Pass for the event. Additionally, you may notice a few changes that went live alongside this event. If you have a Mega Mewtwo, it should have its Adventure Effects, which were found in datamines previously. Mega Pokémon that are capable of hitting Super Max Level will also have an additional charged attack when Mega Evolved, so if you notice a special move with a plus sign next to it when you Mega Evolve a Pokémon, know that this is a new feature.

To help you get ready for the upcoming “Mega Finale” event, we’ve listed the raid schedule, information about this Go Pass, and boosted spawns below.

These Pokémon will be featured in Mega Raids throughout the event:

  • Monday, Aug. 31: Mega Victreebell, Mega Dragonite, and Mega Malamar
  • Tuesday, Sept. 1: Mega Falinks
  • Wednesday, Sept. 2: Mega Skarmory
  • Thursday, Sept. 3: Mega Starmie
  • Friday, Sept. 4: Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y
  • Aug. 31 until Sept. 4: Mega Latios and Mega Latias

While most of these are Pokémon that debuted in Super Mega Raids, they will appear in regular Mega Raids on these days. This means that they’ll be easier, as they won’t have shields (requiring a minimum number of players), but they’ll reward less Mega Energy.

Pokémon Go ‘Go Pass: Mega Finale’ bonuses

This Go Pass does fold into the main event this weekend, so it’s full of bonuses:

  • Rank 1: Link Charge storage limit increased to 2,000.
  • Rank 1 (deluxe): Increased chance of encountering your chosen partner and its evolutions as shiny Pokémon
  • Rank 2 (deluxe): Increased chance of encountering shiny Pokémon from four-star Mega Raids
  • Rank 3 (deluxe): Earn 3 additional Candy, 1 additional Candy XL, and 5,000 additional XP from Mega Raids
  • Rank 70 (deluxe): Increased chance of encountering shiny featured Pokémon in the wild during Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale weekend event hours.

You will need to pay $14.99 to upgrade to the deluxe version to make the most of these bonuses, though.

This pass rewards a ton of Mega Energy for various Mega Pokémon, with a focus on which Kalos first partner Pokémon you pick.

Note that you don’t really have to go too hard on this pass during the week, if you plan on heading out to play during the “Mega Finale” event this weekend. The level cap will be removed during the weekend, and you should be able to cap out your pass pretty easily from catching Pokémon and completing raids.
