Fans were left concerned after rising British singerLola Young, 24, collapsed mid-performance at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York City.
The incident occurred on Saturday, September 27, as Young was performing her song “Conceited” at Forest Hills Stadium. According to People, medical personnel quickly responded and carried her offstage.
Shortly after, fellow performer Remi Wolf addressed the audience, visibly shaken. “That was really f—— scary,” she said. “My friend Lola is backstage, and she is okay.”
At the beginning of her performance, Young opened up to fans, hinting at recent struggles.
“I’ve had a tricky couple of days. Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here, and I wanted to be cool … and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”

The performance came just one day after she canceled her appearance at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert on Friday, September 26. While no official medical cause for her onstage collapse has been confirmed, her team cited a “sensitive matter” in relation to the cancellation.
In a statement posted to Young’s Instagram Stories, her longtime manager Nick Shymansky shed light on the decision.
“There are [occasionally] days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe,” he added. “She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
