Pretzel Fans Say Unexpected New Fruit and Dessert Mashup Is 'Fantastic'

Sweet and savory is a popular flavor combination, and a new mashup from pretzel company Flipz has fans flipping out with excitement.

The bulk of the Flipz array of snack foods consists of chocolate-covered pretzels, with some detours into peanut butter, but the latest offering is an unexpected combination that brings together pretzels, a popular dessert, and fruit.

Food blogger Markie Devo reported on Jan. 2 that Flipz has released new blueberry donut covered pretzels, and claims that they’ve already been spotted at 7Eleven.

Fans quickly jumped into the comments to share their opinion, with one person writing that “The blueberry pretzels are FANTASTIC” and another chiming in to give their take that “The blueberry donut flips are soool good!!!👏🏽.”

“Ooooh give me the pretzels,” said one Instagram commenter, and another was on the same page, writing, “i need those pretzels!”

“I’m glad Flipz is now expanding new flavors,” wrote one fan, but another had a bone to pick with the company. “OK, I may be reaching here, but everybody knows that a real blueberry doughnut is not a fried donut with frosting. It’s a cake donut glazed with blueberry pieces in it but I digres [sic],” they commented.
