Prince Harry revealed that he’s “closer” to bringing his and wife Meghan Markle‘s kids, Archie and Lilibet, to the United Kingdom after he had a reunion with his father, King Charles.
While speaking toThe Guardian during his recent trip to Ukraine, Harry, 41, was asked if he would like to bring Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, back to his native England.
“Yes I would. This week has definitely brought that closer,” Harry told the outlet.

Harry made the comment after his recent visit to the U.K., which included visits to several charities, him giving a speech at WellChild Awards and a private tea with Charles, 76. The reunion was a big step for the family members, who hadn’t seen each other in 19 months amid their strained relationship. Harry was photographed arriving by car at Clarence House on September 10, and he left the residence about 55 minutes later.
Prior to their recent reunion, the last time Harry saw Charles in person was just days after the king announced he had been diagnosed with cancer in February 2024.
In addition to revealing he’s open to bringing his kids to the UK, Harry also told The Guardian that his father is his main “focus” for the rest of the year. “I have always loved the UK and I always will love the UK. It’s been good to reconnect with the causes I am passionate about,” he added. “I have been able to spend some time with people that I have known for so long. It is hard to do it from far away.”
Charles and Harry have had a complicated relationship ever since the Duke of Sussex and Meghan, 44, stepped down from their royal duties in 2020. They went on to reveal some of the more difficult things about their relationships with the other royals in a handful of interviews, as well as in Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare.
Some people feared the family would never reconcile, and Harry even told BBC News in May that he couldn’t “see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point.”
“They’re going to miss, well, everything,” Harry continued after he lost his legal appeal against a government decision that stripped him of automatic police protection when he’s in Britain. “I love my country. I always have done. Despite what some people in that country have done.”
