Princess Diana’s Lookalike Niece Reacts to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s UK Return

Prince Harry’s cousin is looking forward to having her family member back from across the pond.

Following the royal, along with his wife Meghan Markle and their two kids’ return to the United Kingdom — following six years of living in California — Lady Eliza Spencer, Princess Diana‘s niece shared that she was hoping to get together with her cousin.

“Absolutely, it’s exciting!” she told the UK’s Mirror at an event for her rosé brand Lala V about the family’s shocking return from the U.S. “We would love to be able to find some time to visit.”

As for whether she and Markle, a fellow wine creator under her As Ever brand, will perhaps share tips, Spencer responded, “Maybe!” when asked by the outlet.

Spencer, 34, is the daughter of Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer. Her and her sisters, twin Amelia and older sister Kitty, have managed to stay out of the mainstream spotlight while becoming staples at events like movie premieres and fashion shows around Europe and the UK.

On Wednesday, Harry, Markle and children Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, arrived in Birmingham, England, via a private plane just weeks after announcing that they’d be returning to the country they left in a controversial move to California in 2020.

Archie and Lilibet are set to begin school next week, while the family settles into a new home in the Cotswolds area, north of London, according to The BBC.

The couple will hold on to their Montecito, Calif. house as well as their vacation home in Portugal (where Harry’s other cousin, Eugenie lives part time with her family), People reported.

While Eliza may happily welcome Harry and Meghan back to his home country, reception from his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton is predicted to be drastically different.

“So much has been said and done that has damaged that relationship almost beyond repair,” Hello!’s royal editor, Emily Nash, said last week. “I can’t see a world in which they would be welcoming them back with open arms.”
