‘Ransom Canyon’ Season 2 Episode Titles Tease What’s To Come In Upcoming Episodes

The second season of Ransom Canyon is coming together with a new-look cast and a brand new list of episode titles as rugged as a Texas ranch. Following a first season of property wars and complicated romance—which premiered exactly one year ago today—these new chapters seem ready to lean even harder into the show’s Southern roots. While Netflix hasn’t released the official airing order just yet, this alphabetical list of titles gives us a great look at the country music and Texas grit driving the next part of the story.

Things in the canyon were left in a pretty rough state at the end of the first season. Quinn (Minka Kelly) made the tough call to take a pianist job with the New York Philharmonic, as it was the only way to pay off the debts on her dance hall. This decision puts her and Staten (Josh Duhamel) in a tough spot, just as they were finally figuring things out.

Staten, meanwhile, did get answers about his son Randall’s death: Margaret, the Sheriff’s wife and Lauren’s mother, got arrested for the hit-and-run, but he’s still dealing with the emotional aftermath.

The drama at the high school shifted, too. Lauren (Lizzy Greene) finally chose Lucas (Garrett Wareing) over Reid (Andrew Liner). While Reid is exiting the story as a regular, Lauren and Lucas are still very much at the center of things. But the biggest threat might be coming from Staten’s own family. His father, a powerful Senator, is trying to have him removed as trustee of the Double K ranch. Claiming Staten is unfit to lead, the Senator has teamed up with Davis Collins to push through a deal with Austin Water & Power that would change the landscape of the canyon forever.

New Faces for Season 2

As previously announced, the biggest change for the new season is that we won’t be seeing as much of the Collins family. Eoin Macken (Davis Collins) and Andrew Liner (Reid Collins) are stepping away as series regulars, moving the story away from the big family feuds between the Collins and the Kirklands.

Over at the Cap Fuller ranch, Yancy Grey (Jack Schumacher) has officially taken over, but his life got complicated fast. Right after proposing to Ellie (Marianly Tejada), a mysterious woman showed up at the dance hall claiming to be his wife, completely canceling his plans for a fresh start.

To keep the story interesting, the show is bringing in some new faces. Ben Robson and Heidi Engerman are joining the cast in recurring roles, almost certainly playing characters who will bring their own brand of trouble to the canyon.

Decoding the Ransom Canyon Season 2 episode titles

Season 2 episode titles are listed here in alphabetical order, as the specific order remains under wraps. It is worth noting that the production team confirmed last year that the episode count dropped from 10 in the debut season to an eight-episode run for Season 2.

    • Edge of My Seat Here, Quinn
    • Forever. And Always.
    • Go On Now, Get
    • Hey There, Cowboy
    • Let Me Let You Go
    • No Place Like Home
    • That Dog Won’t Hunt

Musical echoes and country tropes

A few of these titles come from country music. “Let Me Let You Go” for example. Nashville singer-songwriter Joshua Gleave released a track with that exact title; it’s about the struggle of finally moving on from someone who won’t let the past stay in the past. With Quinn potentially in New York when the season returns, this might refer to her struggle to choose between her career and her life on the ranch.

“Forever. And Always.” echoes the sound of famous ballads by Shania Twain or Taylor Swift. In a place like Ransom Canyon, “forever” usually isn’t just about romance; creator and showrunner April Blair has highlighted the idea that in a small town, promises (and grudges) are permanent fixtures.

Texas idioms

Some titles take inspiration from Western slang. “That Dog Won’t Hunt” is a classic Southern way of saying “I don’t believe you” or “that plan isn’t going to work.” It’s the exact kind of thing someone says right before a confrontation.

“Go On Now, Get” is the kind of phrase you hear when someone’s trying to shoo a stray dog off their property, though people use it with each other too—sometimes half-joking, sometimes not. As an episode title, someone might be getting pushed away, and not in a gentle way. The battle for the future of the canyon might get even more complicated.

Confrontations and Power Shifts

Some of these titles feel a bit more personal. “Edge of My Seat Here, Quinn” is the only one that names a character directly. It sounds like a possible plea from a frustrated Staten, tired of waiting for Quinn to choose their future.

“That Leaves Two” feels threatening. This could be pointing toward the endgame for the Double K ranch. With Staten’s father trying to kick him out as trustee to make a deal with Austin Water & Power, Staten might be starting to run out of options, or finding fewer people standing in the way of the pipeline.

Homecoming

The last two titles, “No Place Like Home” and “Hey There, Cowboy,” have a similar feeling. If there’s a time jump, as we suspect, “No Place Like Home” sounds like Quinn finally making her way back to the canyon after her New York stint. And in a place like Ransom Canyon, coming home usually means picking up things that were never fully resolved. “Hey There, Cowboy” has a different tone—more playful, a little Western. It could be a warm welcome, or something more pointed between Quinn and Staten as they try to figure out what’s left between them after all that time.

No word on release date yet. There is a chance that the series could return in 2026, but it wasn’t notably included in the Next on Netflix 2026 list, so 2027 could be on the cards. We’ll keep you posted!
