Ray J Performs With Bleeding Eyes Weeks After Revealing Devastating Heart Failure

Ray J is back onstage—but fans are concerned with what they’re seeing.

Just weeks after revealing that doctors have warned he may only have months to live, the 45-year-old singer performed in Shreveport, LA, on Saturday, February 14 with what appeared to be blood streaming from his eyes and medical equipment taped to his chest.

In fan videos circulating on social media, the “One Wish” artist can be seen wearing sunglasses with what looks like blood dripping from one eye. At one point during the show, he removed the glasses, revealing what appeared to be blood pooled beneath both eyes. When he later unzipped his orange jumpsuit, something resembling a heart monitor was visible on his chest, with the surrounding skin appearing bloody.

Fans understandably expressed their concern for the “Sexy Can I” hitmaker.

“Bro slow your roll, a heart need time to heal,” one said on X.

Another wrote, “Does @RayJ want us to witness his death live onstage or what??????”

Others theorized the blood was fake, sharing replies like, “Ray j keep faking everything for attention,” and “He’s corny AF! He’s seeking attention. If he was really sick he wouldn’t be performing.”

Ahead of the concert—which also featured Kelly Price and Bobby Valentino—Ray J posted on Instagram, “I’m putting my life on the line for this show!!”

Backstage, he addressed speculation about his condition, per Entertainment Weekly. In a video, he responded to claims he looked “sick,” insisting he was “feeling better” and calling out anyone who would “laugh at me being sick.” He added, “Hey y’all, we’re perfectly fine, nobody’s sick,” before smiling at the camera. “Look at me. I’m fine, y’all.”

The performance comes after a sobering health update. In January, Ray J revealed he is currently bedridden and taking eight medications as doctors work to stabilize his heart condition. He told TMZ he has been ordered to remain on strict bedrest while taking Jardiance and Entresto—drugs commonly prescribed to patients at high risk of heart failure—along with the cholesterol medication Lipitor. Doctors have also instructed him to completely abstain from alcohol and smoking.

After a recent hospitalization for severe pneumonia and heart pains, he admitted on social media, “I f**ked up. I thought I was a big [shot], so I could handle all the alcohol. I could handle all the Adderall. I could handle all the drugs, but I couldn’t. And it curbed my time here.”

He later added, “As long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, then everything will be all right, so thank you for all your prayers.”
