Ray J addressed his recent hospitalization on social media and shared that his heart is failing.
Ray J was hospitalized with severe pneumonia in Las Vegas in early January and he had previously been hospitalized with pneumonia in 2022.
According to Ray J, doctors expressed that his heart is only operating at 25% after his recent case of pneumonia.
“I want to thank everybody for praying for me. I was in a hospital. My heart’s only beating like 25%, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be all right,” he said in an Instagram post on Monday, Jan. 25.
However, in a livestream reshared on social media, the rapper told his fans bluntly, “2027 is definitely a wrap for me.”

“On the right side, right here, it’s like black. It’s like done,” he said gesturing to his heart.
He also shared with fans that he will be traveling to Haiti in upcoming weeks for alternative treatment.
“I think I’m going to Haiti because I think Haiti, my Haitians, they got the cure. So I’m going to Haiti in like two weeks,” Ray J said.
Speaking candidly with fans, he admitted that years of alcohol and substance use took a toll on his heart. He said he would drink up to five bottles of alcohol in a night and acted like he was “invincible.”
