Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp faced a scary incident at her home in Encino, California, on June 21. According to TMZ, Mellencamp’s house was a target in an attempted robbery. The report indicates that Mellencamp was at home when security cameras alerted her that someone was trying to break in.
The would-be burglars reportedly fled the scene before law enforcement arrived on the scene. TMZ also reported that the home next door to Mellencamp’s was broken into just before.
Mellencamp took to Instagram to let her followers know that she’s okay following the scary ordeal.
“Love you all,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Thanks for checking in. I am not texting back, but I am OK. Resting.”
Mellencamp, who has been diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma, isn’t the only Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star to be targeted in a home robbery.

In 2017, Mellencamp’s best friend Kyle Richards had her home broken into.
“Everything was taken,” Richards told People magazine in 2018. “Everything my mother, who passed away, had ever collected and saved to give to me — that I had always envisioned of passing on to my four daughters — was gone. Even my children’s baby bracelets. Obviously those are the things that hurt the most, things that I can’t replace. They’re completely invaluable.”
“The material things, yes they can be replaced, but they also hurt. I feel embarrassed to say that, but those are things that were either given to me by someone that I care about or that I worked really hard for. So it hurts no matter what,” she added.
Co-star Dorit Kemsley was also the victim of a home invasion when armed suspects entered her Encino home in October 2021. Though Kemsley was at home with her two young children at the time, no one was injured.
