In a relatable video posted on Instagram, Drummond shared the process for how she achieves the delectable photos in her cookbooks. The clip started out capturing the moment, but it quickly derailed when the phone slipped. “The chaos of shooting a cookbook recipe,” she said about the video.
“Because I’m high-tech, I had leaned my phone against a box of bottled water to film myself, and Trey kept inadvertently knocking the phone over,” she wrote in the caption.

The video continued, with Drummond pouring apple cider vinegar into a dutch oven on the stove as a photographer snapped photos from above. She then waved at the camera, but, just like before, the phone slid down.
Drummond became visibly annoyed and said “forget it” with a laugh, then got back into the flow of the photo shoot, stirring the now-steaming food. After she spooned chili onto a plate and began to garnish the food, the phone slipped for a third time, prompting Drummond to scold her colleague, chef Trey Wilson, for knocking the phone over.
“There’s no real point to this video except that working with a great group of people and laughing a lot makes the work go by faster. Oh, and I really could use a tripod,” she said in the video’s caption.
Fans chimed in, saying they completely understood her frustration while simultaneously praising her relatability.
“I love a good bts 😂🤍👏🏼,” wrote one fan, while another teased that “Ya’ll sound so Happy or Deliriously Over Tired 😂 time.” A third told the Food Network star “You are so down to earth.”
One fan suggested that “Maybe your girls could make it a Christmas gift. I have small tabletop tripod!” Meanwhile, another implored her husband to go out and get her one, writing “Dear Marlboro man, please buy her a tripod.” Drummond nicknamed her husband Ladd that when she first started her popular blog.
