Reese Witherspoon's Daughter Ava Phillippe Looked Like Her Twin at the 'Scream 7' Premiere

27 February 20262 Mins Read

At the Scream 7 Los Angeles premiere on February 25, Ava Phillippe turned heads not just for her red-carpet style but for her uncanny resemblance to her mom, Reese Witherspoon.

In a fitted snakeskin slip dress by AllSaints, paired with burgundy heels and flippy blonde layers, Ava looked like a seasoned Hollywood star. And to many onlookers, she also looked like the near-identical twin of a young Witherspoon herself.

This isn’t the first time people have stopped in their tracks at how striking the mother and daughter can look side-by-side. The resemblance has long been spotted in photos and red-carpet appearances, with fans and media commenting on how genetics seem to have handed down Witherspoon’s signature features almost wholesale to her daughter: warm blonde hair, expressive eyes, and radiant smile.

“Looks like a ’90s shoot of your mum,” one social media user wrote on an image of Phillippe shared on her Instagram, with others agreeing that she is a “spitting image of [her] mother.”

At the Scream 7 event, that similarity was amplified by Phillippe’s styling choices, which echoed her mom’s classic, timeless glamour. Part of the buzz stems not just from looks, however, but also from the emotional resonance of that visual echo. Witherspoon has spoken openly in past interviews about how she embraces the comparisons, even joking that being mistaken for her daughter makes her feel young. She has also shared how proud she is of who Phillippe has become as a woman.

Social media lit up this week with ever more comments, calling them twins and marvelling at how seamless the resemblance is, especially as Phillippe, at 26, steps more into her own presence in the spotlight. She’s already begun to explore acting roles and carve her own path, but her red carpet appearance this week felt like an intersection of past and present.

“Can’t believe I’ve been alive long enough to witness the second coming of Reese Witherspoon,” one fan commented on an image of Phillippe at the premiere.

In a world where celebrity kids often find themselves compared to their famous parents, Phillippe’s Scream 7 premiere attendance was one of those rare instances in which it genuinely felt like seeing two versions of the same person: a mother and daughter, aligned in both breathtaking looks and star-quality presence.
