Publisher and remaster developer Paradox Interactive announced the upcoming release of Surviving Mars: Relaunched, an updated and expanded edition of 2018’s award-winning sci-fi city builder, Surviving Mars. Haemimont Games, the studio behind the original title, brings together the colony management game alongside its entire catalog of DLC, from expansions to cosmetic additions, radio stations, and an all-new Martian Assembly update.
Players can expect improved visuals, a redesigned UI, and the same core mission: colonize the Red Planet and build a self-sustaining society in one of the harshest environments imaginable. The Relaunched edition’s Martian Assembly update will add colony factions to the game, along with a new political mechanic where “colonists will adopt agendas and personal demands, allowing players to shape the society of their colonies’ future.” You can establish laws and policies, and even push for full independence from Earth before SpaceX and Amazon get the chance.
Players will also be able to compete with other colonies with Space Race, introduce animal life with Project Laika, and terraform the Martian desert with Green Planet — along with all major and minor expansions, cosmetics, and radio stations released for the original game, in addirtion to some expansive modding tools.
Surviving Mars: Relaunched will be available soon for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S for $39.99. Owners of the original Surviving Mars will be able to upgrade their copy for $19.99.
