Following his winning verdict on Tuesday, Feb. 18 in a trial for felony assault with a semiautomatic handgun, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna had a late-night celebratory dinner at the members-only social club Gravitas in Beverly Hills.
“They were holding hands and embracing each other, smiling the whole time being in the best company and in the best spirits for A$AP’s big win,” a source tells Parade.

The joyous pair were joined by Rihanna’s manager, Jay Brown, and entertainment lawyer, Damien Granderson, and the group enjoyed a few of the club’s signature menu classics by chef Preston Madson while celebrating with bottles of award-winning wine and the finest champagne from the members’ temp-controlled wine lockers in The Vault.
However, before the verdict was read on Tuesday, Rocky and Rihanna didn’t know whether they’d be celebrating or if the rapper would be spending more than 20 years behind bars.
“There was a moment when, before we heard the words from the clerk, he didn’t know if he was going to be spending the next two decades in jail or going home,” his attorney, Joe Tacopina, told the Associated Press.
With his legal troubles behind him, Rocky has a busy schedule ahead. In March, he will headline the Rolling Loud music festival in Los Angeles. He has also been tapped as a celebrity co-chair with fellow musician Pharrell Williams and Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James for the Met Gala in May. A$AP Rocky, 36, will also move to the big screen this summer, co-starring in the latest Spike Lee joint Highest 2 Lowest alongside Denzel Washington.
The rapper faced up to 24 years in prison but opted for the three-week trial instead of accepting a pretrial offer of six months in jail and probation for pleading guilty to one count.
Now that he’s been acquitted, he’s also free to spend quality time with his partner Rihanna, 36, and their two children, RZA Athelston Mayers, 2, and Riot Rose Mayers, who is 1.
