Rockin’ Thunder reveals Edmonton lineup with Creed and Three Days Grace

11 December 20254 Mins Read

Hold me now, Creed is coming to Edmonton, and the news is about to send us six feet from the edge.

They’re not the only headliner that were revealed today as part of Rockin’ Thunder’s initial 2026 lineup announcement. Ontario rockers Three Days Grace will also join them on the main stage, which is cause for celebration amongst all Canadians who grew up watching MuchMusic in the early 2000s.

This will be the second instalment of Rockin’ Thunder after its inaugural year, which brought huge rock and roll acts like Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Def Leppard and Weezer to the Exhibition Lands Racetrack in Edmonton last summer.

The Rockin’ Thunder music festival returns to the Exhibition Lands Racetrack from July 11 to 12, and after today’s announcement, it’ll be a nostalgia train you won’t want to miss.

What to expect

It’s the best Christmas gift for rock ‘n’ roll fans: tickets to Rockin’ Thunder, one of Canada’s newest, best and brightest music festivals dedicated to rock music.

The festival made an explosive debut in 2025, and it’s not wasting any time raising the bar with this year’s talent announcement.

“After an incredible inaugural year, we knew we had to keep the momentum going,” said Troy Vollhoffer, CEO of Rockin’ Thunder Music Festival, in a press release. “Bringing Creed and Three Days Grace to Edmonton felt like the perfect way to keep building the festival into something truly unforgettable for Canada’s rock community.”

Last year was truly unbeatable, and with hard-hitting headliners like Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Def Leppard, Weezer, Stone Temple Pilots, and Sam Roberts Band, the festival quickly sold out in its inaugural year.

But it’s not backing down yet. Rockin’ Thunder is gearing up to deliver an even more impressive live music experience in 2026.

Canadian rock lovers rejoice

Three Days Grace hail from Norwood, Ont., and since forming in 1992, have become one of Canada’s most successful rock bands. They’ve had a strong run of multi-platinum singles, including some you might recognize; “Animal I Have Become” and “I Hate Everything About You” had record-breaking success on the global music charts. Fans can expect a hard-hitting set stacked with hits, deep cuts and the explosive moments that make Three Days Grace stand out on stage.

Creed aren’t officially “Can con,” but they might as well be. Their signature blend of anthemic guitars, growly vocals and big energy has given other grunge lite rock bands of the early 2000s a run for their money. Creed is one of the few bands that have stepped out of the post-Nirvana music industry fog as an enduring rock project, one with a legacy that’s boosted the band’s visibility all over social media. The success of their 2025 stadium tour shows that the demand for Creed is higher than ever. Plus, you’ll definitely love singing along to “With Arms Wide Open” and “Higher” alongside a huge crowd of fellow Albertans, which is exactly what happened when Creed played to sold-out stadiums in Edmonton and Calgary earlier this year.

This will be a chance to catch Creed one more time and sing your heart out at the Exhibition Lands Racetrack in Edmonton. It’s a high-energy, dust-kicking festival, one with some hard-hitting headliners and a friendly crowd ready to rock out. There are still more acts to be revealed, plus the YEG Rocks! Stage, which will spotlight local talent and the next generation of Canadian rock icons.

With a long list of exciting artist announcements to follow in the new year, fans can be sure this is just the start to a lineup that is bound to get a whole lot louder. All tickets are eligible for the new payment plan, allowing music lovers to secure tickets for just $20 with equal monthly payments to follow.

Give the live music lover in your life a gift to the rock show they won’t forget. We can’t wait!
