While some fans were curious about the history of the photo, others just enjoyed the look, with one giving the post, 🔥🔥emojis.
“2 of the biggest and best rock stars ever training for football together,” wrote another.

Stewart and John are longtime friends and rivals. The two rockers who became superstars in the ‘70s called each other by the nicknames Phyllis and Sharon.
“It was in the early 1970s that Elton and I drew especially close, the best of mates for a while,” Stewart wrote in the 2012 book Rod: The Autobiography. “Our mutual friend Long John Baldry had christened me ‘Phyllis,’ he had christened Elton ‘Sharon,’ and that’s what we were to each other: Phyllis and Sharon. Or just ‘dear’.”
