As Sex and the City fans still process Rosie O’Donnell‘s surprising role as a virgin nun on the Season 3 debut of And Just Like That, the iconic actress and television host has moved on to more significant milestones — like celebrating her first-born son’s 30th birthday.
While O’Donnell, 63, shares plenty of photos of their youngest child Clay, 12, the rest of her four children are adults — with her daughter Chelsea, 27, infamously estranged from her mom — so it makes sense that the Now and Then star doesn’t share as many snapshots of her elder kids.
But in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 14, O’Donnell couldn’t help but take to Instagram to share a rare photo of her eldest son, Parker, on his 30th birthday.

“happy birthday parker – i love u to the moon and back – 30 years – went too quickly,” the Harriet the Spy actress captioned the image of Parker, who looked off to the side, a large smile on his face. O’Donnell’s first-born has certainly grown up, sporting a full beard and a man bun. (O’Donnell shares her four eldest children, all adopted, with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter. Clay was adopted by O’Donnell and her second ex-wife, Michelle Rounds.)
The new photo of Parker was a follow-up to the talk show alum’s photo of her and her eldest son, which she posted a day before — too excited for his birthday to not celebrate it the night before.

“happy birthday tomorrow parker,” O’Donnell captioned the selfie, during which she and Parker smiled for the camera.
O’Donnell has been open about Parker’s career in the military, even quipping on The View in 2014 (per People), “How do you annoy your left-wing, liberal, pacifist mother?” she joked. “You become a big military man.”
In addition to her five children, O’Donnell is also a grandmother of four via estranged daughter Chelsea, who was arrested late last year on drug charges after the birth of her fourth child.
“We all hope she is able to get the help she needs to turn her life around,” O’Donnell wrote via Instagram in early December, confirming her daughter’s arrest (and subsequent bail from jail allegedly posted by Chelsea’s birth mother). In the post, O’Donnell added the hashtags: “#drug-addiction #tragic #sadness #truth.”
