Rosie O’Donnell Welcomes Fifth Grandchild, Sharing His Name

28 March 20263 Mins Read

Rosie O’Donnell recently shared exciting celebrity baby news! The 64-year-old talk show host and comedian just welcomed her fifth grandchild to the family. According to a recent Instagram post, the baby boy was born on March 26, 2026.

Who are Rosie O’Donnell’s children?

The actress has five children. Parker, born in May of 1995, is her oldest. While she initially adopted him as a single mom, O’Donnell’s first wife, TV exec Kelli Carpenter, later adopted Parker too. O’Donnell and Carpenter adopted their next-eldest, Chelsea, in 1997, and their third child, Blake, in 1999.

In 2002, Carpenter gave birth to O’Donnell’s fourth child, Vivienne Rose. In 2013, Rosie (and her second wife, Michelle Rounds) adopted her fifth child, Clay.

How many grandchildren does actress Rosie O’Donnell have?

O’Donnell is now the grandma of five! Daughter Chelsea has four children of her own: Skylar Rose, Riley, Avery Lynn, and Atlas. The most recent addition to the O’Donnell clan was born just days ago, in March, to the comedian’s third child, Blake.

What is Rosie O’Donnell’s newest grandchild’s name?

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Rosie shared, “Anthony Joel O’Donnell has arrived! And my heart burst open—congratulations to mama teresa n blake christopher—I love you so. Along with the cute caption, the new grandma (for the fifth time) also revealed the first pic of her grandson. While little Anthony’s face isn’t visible, the black-and-white photo does show his teeny-tiny foot, with his birth date and the words “mommy & daddy love you so” written on top.

Of course, fans were expecting the Emmy Award-winner’s news. Earlier this week, O’Donnell posted a pregnancy picture of Blake and Teresa, captioning it, “here comes the baby boy!!! Any day now!!!” Fans and friends sent the couple (and the soon-to-be grandma) well-wishes, including, “So exciting! Congratulations to you and the future parents,” and, “You are going to be a Granny! Lucky you. All the best for baby’s birth and for Mom and Dad.”

Another fan added, “That baby boy is going to be so loved and cherished,” while another got a bit political, saying, “Wow! That time zoomed by! Wishing them a healthy, happy Democrat boy.”

As it turns out, Rosie and her new grandbaby almost shared a birthday. The celeb grandma turned 64 on March 21, just five days short of Anthony’s big debut. So a big “Happy Birthday” goes out to O’ Donnell and the newest member of her growing family.
