Ruby has opened Ruby Frida in Stockholm, marking the brand’s debut in Sweden. The 187-room hotel is located in the Kungsholmen district near Fridhemsplan and occupies a transformed 1960s building now serving as a mixed-use development with hospitality, offices, restaurants, and retail spaces. The property is approximately 10 minutes from Stockholm Central Station by public transport and about 40 minutes from Stockholm Arlanda Airport via direct airport coach connections.

The hotel’s design draws on Stockholm’s music heritage and the creative spirit of the 1960s. The surrounding area has played a role in the city’s music scene, including its proximity to the former Cheiron Studios. Interiors feature Scandinavian modernism and vintage-inspired details, with materials and furnishings reflecting the era.

Guest rooms are available in categories including Cosy, Lovely, and Wow. Selected rooms offer private balconies with city views, while some windowless rooms are designed as quiet retreats. Room features include beds with duvets, rainfall showers, bath amenities, and design details inspired by Stockholm’s creative heritage. Room rates start from SEK 1,100 per night, excluding breakfast.

Ruby Frida features social spaces, a bar serving cocktails and barista coffee, and music-themed amenities, including curated sound programs, live evening acts, and in-room Marshall amplifiers and Bluetooth speakers. The building’s mixed-use setting provides guests with access to a range of facilities within the development.

Ruby Frida’s development, design, and operations are managed by Ruby Group. The Ruby brand is part of IHG Hotels & Resorts. IHG One Rewards members can book stays at Ruby Frida through the IHG One Rewards mobile app.

Ruby’s global portfolio includes 40 open and pipeline properties as of Q1 2026, with locations in Europe and recent signings in Chicago and New York City. Other 2026 signings include a first hotel in Belgium and new properties in Germany and Italy. Ruby Lilou in Marseille is scheduled to open in late summer 2026.
