The iconic Adidas Original Superstars have long been a fashion staple in wardrobes all over the world. The shoes — originally designed for basketball players — have become more than just a passing trend, but a universally loved piece enjoyed by every generation.
In a new campaign released by Adidas on Thursday for the Spring 2026 season, the brand reimagines the classic shoe’s design and explores its legacy through the eyes of the legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson on his search for the new “Superstars” of today.
Jackson wanders through the halls of the imagined “Hotel Superstar” in the artistic new campaign video, searching for the superstars that uplift the culture today. On his journey, he runs into some of today’s biggest cultural icons across generations and industries, including model Kendall Jenner, football star Lamine Yamal, K-pop icon JENNIE, recent Grammy-winner Olivia Dean, NBA star James Harden, skateboarder Tyshawn Jones and musical producer Baby Keem. In the captivating new video, Jackson encounters the stars as they sport the Original Superstars in different ways, showing the versatility and longevity of the iconic shoe.

As for the Spring 2026 collection itself, the Original Superstars return with a new interesting look — the classic black and white pattern is enhanced with red accents. The menswear collection features red, black and white tracksuits and denim pieces that feature Adidas’ iconic three stripes, while the womenswear features tailored athleisure and statement pieces, like a faux leather jacket worn by Jenner that meshes sport and streetwear together.

Ultimately, Adidas is highlighting the timelessness of not just the Original Superstars, but of the intersection between style and sports, music and art, emphasizing that the brand will always be there to help promote self-expression through those mediums and beyond for the rest of time. The Superstar Spring 2026 collection will be rolling out globally soon.
