Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca, the first hotel under its Destination by Hyatt brand in Mallorca, Spain. This development represents a strategic expansion of Hyatt’s presence in Europe and specifically in the Balearic Islands, a key travel destination.
The resort is situated on Playa de Muro, adjacent to S’Albufera Natural Park, and features 184 guestrooms and suites. The hotel’s design incorporates elements inspired by the Mediterranean environment, with interiors featuring colors and materials that reflect the local landscape. Each room is equipped with amenities such as 55-inch smart TVs and offers views of the surrounding sea.
The resort features four dining venues, each offering a distinct culinary experience. Michelin-starred chef Andreu Genestra leads the food and beverage offerings. The restaurants focus on local and seasonal ingredients, with menus that include Mediterranean and Mallorcan dishes. Dining options range from casual to fine dining, with a focus on local traditions and flavors.
In addition to dining, the resort offers wellness facilities, including the Sarena Spa, which uses natural products from the Spanish brand Arôms Natur. The spa provides a range of treatments and features a hydrotherapy area and thermal zone. Guests also have access to two pools, one with direct beach access, and a 24-hour fitness center that offers guided wellness activities.
The opening of Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca is part of Hyatt’s broader strategy to expand its brand portfolio in Europe. The Destination by Hyatt brand aims to offer unique experiences that reflect the local culture and environment of each location. This new property in Mallorca is positioned to attract both leisure travelers and those interested in exploring the natural and cultural attractions of the island.
The resort’s location provides easy access to local landmarks, including the Roman ruins of Pollentia and Cape Formentor. The development is expected to enhance Hyatt’s offerings in the region and provide a new option for travelers seeking accommodations in Mallorca.
