Scandic has opened its first hotel in Florø, marking a strategic expansion with the Scandic Victoria Florø, previously known as Comfort Hotel Victoria.
Scandic has opened its first hotel in Florø, Norway, under the name Scandic Victoria Florø. This hotel, which was formerly Comfort Hotel Victoria, is part of Scandic’s strategy to expand its franchise operations. The facility includes 97 rooms and meeting spaces that can accommodate up to 150 participants. This opening is part of Scandic’s broader plan to strengthen its presence in western Norway and the Nordic region.
The hotel will be operated by the Helle family under the Scandic brand, indicating a long-term partnership. This move aligns with Scandic’s growth strategy, which aims to add approximately 10,000 new rooms by 2030. Half of these rooms are expected to be under the Scandic Go brand, targeting the economy segment. Additionally, Scandic plans to open 30-40 new franchise hotels to expand its Nordic reach.
Earlier in the year, Scandic expanded its portfolio with the opening of The Dock 69°39 by Scandic in Tromsø, its sixth signature hotel. The company has also signed agreements for five additional hotels, adding over 1,400 rooms to its offerings.
