You’ll need to find Imai Sokyu during the “Searching Sakai” quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadow. It’s one of the main story missions where you’re trying to discover the identity of a the Golden Teppo.
Imai Sokyu has a direct connection to Oda Nobunaga and might be the help you need to proceed with your plans. However, you need to find him in the city of Sakai, which is easier said than done.
In this Assassin’s Creed Shadows guide, you will learn where to find Imai Sokyu and complete the “Searching Sakai” quest, getting Naoe closer to her main goal.
How to find Imai Sokyu in ‘Searching Sakai’
When you arrive in Sakai, you spend some time talking to a few gunsmiths looking for any information regarding a woman who has a golden teppo. On the eastern part of town, you’ll find two men talking who you can eavesdrop on their conversation.
Next, you must talk to them. Your objective is to obtain the contracts they have, which will give you a chance to talk to Imai Sokyu.

When you talk to them, none of the dialogue options will prevent you from acquiring the contracts. The worst case scenario here results in them figuring out you’re not affiliated with the Imai and summarily running from or attacking you. Just be a good assassin and kill them to obtain the papers.
Now, you should send scouts to give you an idea of where Imai Sokyu is located in Sakai, but they will only tell you that he is located somewhere within the Money Changer District. The question is where Imai Sokyu is exactly.
Where to find Imai Sokyu in ‘Searching Sakai’

If you want to find Imai Sokyu, you need to find his house. First, at the crossroad right in the middle of Sakai, go south on the street with a ramp right in the corner.

Before you reach a bridge, turn northeast and find the houses with white clothes in front of them. There are a lot of them on this street, but you’re looking for the second one coming from the bridge:

From there, just open the door to complete the quest. Unfortunately, you won’t be talking to Imai Sokyu this time, but rather his son, Imai Sokun.
