Sephora is launching a new, low-sensory shopping experience in Canada

6 July 20262 Mins Read

Sephora Canada is launching Quiet Hours, a new, low-sensory shopping experience in over 100 stores across the country.

As of Tuesday, July 7, 119 Sephora locations across Canada will bring the new initiative to life, offering an hour of peaceful shopping on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Quiet Hours at Sephora Canada

During the first hour of business, participating stores will lower music volume, reduce sensory stimulation where possible and, according to Sephora, “adopt an increasingly awareness-led service approach to help clients shop comfortably and at their own pace.”

According to the retailer, Sephora is the first of its kind in the beauty scene to roll out Quiet Hours at a global scale.

“The program was developed in collaboration with neurodiversity experts and community members, reflecting Sephora’s continued commitment to creating a more inclusive and welcoming retail experience for all,” shares the beauty brand.

And you won’t have to guess which location is participating in the initiative; a dedicated storefront sign will be on display. Shoppers will also find in-store informational materials and custom pins and lanyards worn by Beauty Advisors.

“Quiet Hours is the latest example of Sephora’s ongoing commitment to creating spaces where everyone can celebrate beauty in a way that feels comfortable, accessible, and welcoming,” adds the retailer.

The rollout comes after a successful pilot in 32 stores across eight markets across the globe.
