Series by Marriott, in Global Expansion Effort

  • Marriott International Unveils New Regional Collection Brand: Series by Marriott, in Global Expansion Effort – Image Credit Marriott International

Marriott International has announced the global launch of its new collection brand, Series by Marriott. This launch is part of Marriott’s continuous expansion into the midscale and upscale lodging segments worldwide. The initial launch of this brand will be through a partnership with Concept Hospitality Private Limited (CHPL), one of India’s leading hotel management companies.

Series by Marriott, Marriott International’s new collection brand, is designed to expand the company’s global footprint by integrating well-established regional brands and hotels that provide consistent quality and service. These hotels will become part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, giving regional owners access to Marriott’s platforms, including the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.

Marriott’s Founding Deal with CHPL

Marriott International will launch the Series by Marriott brand via a founding deal with Concept Hospitality Private Limited (CHPL) in India, a significant growth market for Marriott. Established in 1996, CHPL has a portfolio of six brands and manages over 100 hotels in 90 locations across India. This strategic agreement will affiliate CHPL’s flagship brands—The Fern, The Fern Residency, and The Fern Habitat—with Series by Marriott throughout India. Marriott will make a small equity investment in CHPL as part of this deal.

A Series of Hotels: Regionally Created, Globally Connected

Series by Marriott aims to offer travelers a simple and approachable experience, focusing on well-executed basics. The hotels in this portfolio will provide quality and value with clean, comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi, daily coffee or tea, fitness centers, and meeting and event spaces at certain properties. As part of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, members staying at Series by Marriott properties can earn and redeem points and enjoy member benefits.

Global Growth Opportunity for Owners

Series by Marriott offers a unique opportunity for owners of strong, regionally relevant brands to join the Marriott portfolio, which comes with industry-leading revenue generation capabilities and affiliation cost structures. Owners can maintain their portfolio’s independent identity while leveraging the power of Marriott’s  Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program and digital platforms to generate direct bookings.

The company is actively discussing the Series by Marriott brand with owners in the United States, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
