Who doesn’t love LEGOs? Ever since its debut in the 1950s, this iconic brand has produced a number of unique sets that are both fun and educational. Whether you’re building with friends or enjoying some alone time, the brand offers endless possibilities for fun and discovery. From race cars to colorful flowers (and everything in between), LEGO has something for everyone.
One of Target’s newest sets is the LEGO Travel Moments World Map 41838, which is currently $149.99. This travel-inspired set comes with a plane, a large world map and four micro-build vehicles (including a ship, SUV, camper van and train). It even doubles as a decorative piece for your home, thanks to its mountable design.

LEGO Travel Moments 1,231-Piece World Map Set, $149.99 at Target
There is a lot to love about this one-of-a-kind LEGO set—aside from its world map and large “Wonderliner Jet,” this set includes 20 location tiles and five sets of instructions, allowing you to build it in four different sections. This makes it a great family gift, as multiple people can put it together simultaneously (without disturbing the others). It’s also relatively large and comes with 1,231 pieces. On average, a set this size generally takes two to three hours to complete (depending on your skill level). Once finished, it measures approximately 5.5 inches high, 19.5 inches wide and 12 inches deep.
After you and your family put it together, the map itself can be mounted on the wall or displayed on a tabletop. The location tiles can also be changed to highlight recent trips, adding an extra element of creativity and customization. As an added bonus, the set even comes with 10 photo holders, which can be used to share your family’s favorite travel memories (or dream destinations). This makes it a great “talking piece” for your home.
As with most LEGO products, reviews for the World Map set have been overwhelmingly positive. At Target, it currently has 4.4/5 stars and 12 different reviews.
One individual posted that it was a “great idea for a build,” while another shared that it was an “excellent set for someone whose hobbies include both Travel and Lego.”
A third reviewer bought this set for their granddaughter’s 10th birthday and noted that “she was so excited to build it.” Like some of the other reviews, they also shared that this set was perfect “for anyone interested in geography or travel.”
If you’re interested in purchasing one of these sets at Target, you’ll want to act quickly, as it’s bound to sell out quickly. If you miss out, though, don’t worry! You can also find it on the official LEGO website (while supplies last).
