Singer Adam Levine Reveals Cool 'Secret' Hiding in Maroon 5's New Song

9 July 20252 Mins Read

Maroon 5 is back in the limelight again with a new album, an arena tour scheduled, and a fabulous new single with a secret hiding in plain sight. FrontmanAdam Levine dropped by the Today Show this week to dish on the new album titled Love Is Like, and the coolest secret off the record’s first single, “All Night.”

In the new music video, it appears that Levine is playing the saxophone, but the multi-platinum musician revealed that he actually can’t play the instrument. So he called on someone near and dear to him to record the saxophone part for the song — his dad!

Adam Levine “plays” the saxophone in the music video for Maroon 5’s new song “All Night,” but the person actually behind the sound is Levine’s father! Levine says his dad is “an amazing saxophone player,” but “exclusively plays in private places,” namely his home. We’re so glad we get to hear from him now! 🎷 Maroon 5 will be on the #TODAYShow plaza for a Citi Concert Series performance on August 1! Register for a chance to attend the concert at TODAY.com or tune in LIVE on our show that morning!

The dad of three revealed that his own father, Fred Levine, provided the smooth saxophone arrangement for “All Night.” He explained to Today viewers, “My dad is an amazing saxophone player who only, exclusively plays in private places like the closet … he’s just not a public performer.”

The latest single from Maroon 5 was definitely a family affair for Levine, whose wife Behati Prinsloo appears in the music video. The supermodel appears as the band’s front-woman, lip-syncing over her husband’s vocals while he appears to be jamming on the sax.

You can watch a teaser of the video from the band’s Instagram page here:

We love knowing that while Behati was pretending to be singing Adam’s vocals, Adam was pretending to be playing his dad’s sax arrangement! Maybe when the couple’s three children are old enough they’ll join the musical fun too? We will just have to wait and see.
