'Sister Wives' Star Christine Brown Responds to Weight Loss Drug Accusations

26 September 20252 Mins Read

Sister Wives star Christine Brown has been on a health and wellness journey — but since dropping 40 pounds, rumors have swirled that she’s used weight loss drugs like Ozempic or Mounjaro.

In a recent Instagram post, the TLC personality, 53, shared a before-and-after photo, addressing the accusations that she’s used medication to help her drop the weight.

Brown revealed that she hasn’t used any weight loss shots on her fitness journey and instead took a different route, dishing on how she actually lost the weight. In the candid post, she shared that although she hasn’t been on medication, she has used Plexus, a line of wellness supplements.

“I lost 40 pounds with Plexus but I know a lot of women are using weight loss injections right now and having great success!” Brown wrote in the post.

She added that during her journey, she found out that there were some side effects of weight loss medication that weren’t right for her — even if it worked for other people.

“These meds can be powerful but your body still needs support,” she wrote, sharing that her followers have told her about side effects like “constipation, no energy, weight loss stalling and gut health [that is] all over the place.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, prescription weight loss medications can come with side effects such as digestive issues, fatigue, or slowed progress over time. While Brown says she found that it wasn’t right for her, it can be effective for other people.

Amid her fitness journey, Brown figured out exactly what works for her — as well as her husband David Woolley, who she says has also lost at least 20 pounds. Brown opened up about Woolley’s accomplishment earlier this year, writing that she was impressed by how fast it happened for him.

“A few months ago for health reasons, David quit drinking soda, quit eating sugar, I put him on a few supplements and he loses 20 pounds, just like that,” Brown shared in an Instagram story, before jokingly adding, “20 pounds! Do you know how hard I work to lose 20 pounds? situation where men can lose weight quicker and easier is absolute rubbish!”

Congratulations to both Brown and Woolley on their wellness journey!
