Six Senses has entered a hotel management agreement with Narai Hospitality Group to open Six Senses Bangkok in the Silom district as part of the Hatai development.

Six Senses has signed a hotel management agreement with Narai Hospitality Group to establish Six Senses Bangkok, a new hotel located in the Silom district of Bangkok. The hotel will be part of the Hatai mixed-use development, which is situated on the site of the former Narai Hotel. The Narai Hotel, which opened in 1968, was a significant establishment in Thailand’s hospitality sector.

The construction of Six Senses Bangkok is currently underway, with designs by Heatherwick Studio. The project aims to reflect traditional craftsmanship and is part of a broader effort to revitalize the area. The hotel will feature approximately 100 rooms and suites, offering a range of wellness facilities. The development is targeting LEED Gold and WELL Gold certifications, with an emphasis on sustainable building practices. The original wooden foundation of the Narai Hotel will be incorporated into the new hotel’s interior design.

The hotel will include a 700-square-meter suite and a signature restaurant designed by Joyce Wang. BAR Studio is responsible for the interior design, which will extend to the main restaurant and a sky lobby connected by a sky garden. Additional amenities will include a rooftop pool and the Six Senses Spa Bangkok, which will offer a range of wellness treatments.

Six Senses Bangkok is part of a broader expansion strategy, joining other Six Senses properties in Thailand, such as Six Senses Samui and Six Senses Yao Noi. The brand has also announced hotels in several international locations, including London, Milan, and Dubai.

The Hatai development, where the hotel will be located, will also feature retail and dining spaces, covering nearly 6,000 square meters. The site is accessible via the BTS and MRT networks, with nearby attractions including the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple and King Power Mahanakhon.

Six Senses Bangkok is expected to open in 2028, shortly after the 60th anniversary of the original Narai Hotel, continuing the legacy of the site.
