On Christmas Day 2025, fans watching the Detroit Lions face the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis got more than just a nail-biting football game.
At halftime, Snoop Dogg delivered a star-studded performance titled “Snoop Dogg’s Holiday Halftime Party,” streaming live on Netflix from U.S. Bank Stadium.
Fans were treated to a festive mix of classic hits, holiday favorites and surprise appearances, turning a defensive football battle into a full-on holiday spectacle.
Martha Stewart, Snoop Dogg’s longtime friend, kicked off the event by reading a Christmas story. “I sprung from my bed, and said, ‘what is cracking?’ Hailing from the one and only LBC, give it up for Snoop D.O. double G,” she announced.

From there, the show exploded into music, dance and celebrity cameos that kept viewers glued to the screen.
Snoop Dogg’s performance featured a mix of musical talents that represented multiple genres. The K-pop artists EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami: voices behind the fictional girl band Huntrix in Netflix’s animated filmKPop Demon Hunters, performed a high-energy, bass-heavy version of “The 12 Days of Christmas.”
Their dancers pranced across the field while Snoop Dogg joined in with crowd-pleasing hits like “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Who Am I (What’s My Name)?”
Country star Lainey Wilson arrived on a sleigh to perform “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” adding a family-friendly twist. The finale featured Italian opera legend Andrea Bocelli and his son Matteo, singing “White Christmas” as fake snow fell on the field, creating a magical holiday moment.

Fans flocked to social media to share their reactions.
“THIS IS WAY BETTER THAN HALFTIME SHOW AT THE SUPERBOWL!! OMG!!!! Why not have it like this YEAR!!!!” one viewer exclaimed.
Another wrote, “aye this is hella better than the Super Bowl halftime shows recently 😂.”
Many agreed that the show successfully blended genres and brought holiday cheer, with comments like, “Should have saved this for the Super Bowl! Very nice and family friendly 😍.”
The performance sparked inevitable comparisons to Super Bowl halftime shows, which have historically been the pinnacle of live musical entertainment. Some fans argued that Snoop Dogg’s Christmas Day set was more dynamic than recent Super Bowl acts.
“OMG! Best halftime show! Better than the last few Super Bowl shows—it was spectacular! So enjoyable! Thank you!” one fan wrote.
Another added, “WHY IS HE NOT THE LEAD FOR HALFTIME FOR THE SUPERBOWL!?”
While Netflix’s Christmas Gameday show is a newer format compared to the traditional Super Bowl, it clearly demonstrated the growing power of streaming platforms to deliver high-quality, family-friendly entertainment on a massive scale.
Clad in a red fur-trimmed coat reminiscent of Santa Claus, Snoop balanced holiday classics with his own Grammy-winning hits. From his memorable past appearances, including Super Bowl LVI, to live performances during Lakers games, Snoop has consistently brought energy and charm wherever he goes.
Netflix’s NFL Christmas Day halftime show may not have been as tightly choreographed as Beyoncé’s performance from previous year, but it left fans buzzing with excitement. The mix of stars and Snoop Dogg’s signature charisma ensured that viewers were entertained from start to finish.
