Sonesta International Hotels Corporation has opened the Sonesta Resort Curaçao, a 196-room property overlooking Jan Thiel Beach near Willemstad. The resort, previously known as the Livingstone Jan Thiel Beach Resort, offers a variety of accommodations, including villas, apartments, and traditional guest rooms.
Amenities at the resort include a large outdoor swimming pool, a 5-star PADI dive center, direct access to Jan Thiel Beach, a new Italian-inspired restaurant and bar, water sports, a fitness center, and spa services. Guests can earn or redeem points through the Sonesta Travel Pass loyalty program.
Sonesta has previously operated hotels in Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, including in the 1990s and again in Curaçao during 2015-2016.
