H World Group has reopened the Steigenberger Icon Europäischer Hof Baden-Baden following significant renovations, enhancing its historical and modern features.
H World Group has announced the reopening of the Steigenberger Icon Europäischer Hof Baden-Baden after completing extensive renovations. The hotel, originally established in 1930, is located in Baden-Baden, Germany, a town known for its spa facilities near the Black Forest. The reopening follows H World Group’s acquisition of Deutsche Hospitality in 2021, now operating as H World International.
The hotel features 126 rooms, suites, and apartments, each designed to maintain the building’s historical character while incorporating modern elements. The renovation project aimed to preserve the hotel’s historic architecture while updating its facilities to meet contemporary standards.
The Europäischer Hof Baden-Baden offers various amenities, including a 1,300-square-meter wellness area named The Vault Spa & Suites. This facility includes saunas, a steam room, an indoor pool, and fitness areas, spread over two levels. The spa design draws inspiration from Baden-Baden’s Roman bathing traditions.
Dining options at the hotel include Café de l’Europe, which serves French- and European-inspired cuisine with local influences, and the Auerhuhn Lounge Bar, which offers a speakeasy atmosphere. The Luiza Rooftop Terrace & Bar provides panoramic city views and serves Mediterranean dishes and cocktails.
For business events, the hotel provides five multifunctional rooms equipped with modern conferencing technology. Additionally, the hotel includes 700 square meters of retail space, featuring Germany’s first Porsche Studio, where visitors can explore and customize vehicles.
