Club Med has appointed Stéphane Maquaire as its new President and CEO, effective immediately.
Club Med has announced the appointment of Stéphane Maquaire as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. The decision was made by the Board of Directors on July 21, 2025.
Maquaire will be based in Paris and will oversee the company’s operations, with a focus on maintaining its French identity and values. His appointment follows a succession and evaluation process led by Henri Giscard d’Estaing, who recommended Maquaire for the role.
Maquaire joins Club Med from Carrefour, where he held the position of Executive Director for Carrefour Brazil and Latin America. His experience includes leadership roles in French companies with international operations, with a focus on brand transformation and commercial real estate.
The Board of Directors expressed gratitude to Henri Giscard d’Estaing for his leadership over the past two decades, acknowledging his role in the company’s transformation and preparation for future growth.
In addition to the leadership change, Club Med has announced the addition of two new members to its board. Philippe Heim, with extensive management experience in France and internationally, and Takuya Yamada, Chairman of IDERA Capital, will join the board. Yamada has previously collaborated with Club Med.
