PHILADELPHIA – Five days after tragedy struck Northeast Philadelphia, we now know the name of the seventh victim who was killed on the ground.
The NTSB is continuing to investigate the plane crash.
What we know:
On Friday, January 31 at 6:07 p.m., Medical Jet Flight 56 crashed on the 2300 block of Cottman Avenue.
At the time of the crash, police say several vehicles were traveling on the same block,
First responders at the scene located a deceased individual inside one of the vehicles.
A medical examiner has positively identified the person as 37-year-old Steven Dreuitt of Philadelphia.
The victims onboard the flight were all Mexican citizens, and identified by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance as Capt. Alan Alejandro Montoya Perales, co-pilot Josue de Jesus Juarez Juarez, Dr. Raul Meza Arredondo, paramedic Rodrigo Lopez Padilla, patient Valentina Guzman Murillo and her mother, Lizeth Murillo Ozuna.
What’s next:
With a remarkable discovery Sunday, NTSB investigators recovered the cockpit voice recorder of the Learjet 55 that crashed. The CVR was located at the site of initial impact, at a depth of 8 feet.
NTSB investigators say they also recovered the airplane’s enhanced ground proximity warning system, which could also contain flight data.
They will continue to investigate.
