Swamp People star Bruce Mitchell welcomed a new family member, and he shared the first photo and name of his baby grandson on social media.
On Saturday, July 19, the History Channel star took to Instagram with the exciting update.

“We have a new grandbaby, Ethan!” Mitchell captioned his update alongside a snap of himself and his wife, Janet, holding the tiny, swaddled newborn.
Over on Facebook, the proud grandfather revealed his grandchild’s full name, birth date and stats. There, Mitchell also included pictures of Ethan’s parents, his daughter, Jan, and her partner, and the new big brother.
“Ethan Lee Small, born 7-14-25 8lbs 10oz,” he declared.
In the comments of Mitchell’s Instagram update, followers congratulated the family on its newest addition.
One Instagram user wrote, “Oh my goodness!! He is just adorable! Congratulations to the family!! How long until he’s out with granddad learning how to gator hunt? 😁.”
Another shared, “Beautiful baby boy! Congratulations 🎉.”
Someone else echoed, “Congrats on that beautiful bundle of joy you’ve been blessed to welcome Ethan into your family! Wonderful to see your family grow, adding to the next generation! 🫶🏻.”

In addition to Jan, Mitchell and Janet also have a daughter named Lorraine.
