Swiss Spirit Fortress Stadium Hotel
Swiss International Hotels & Resorts is set to establish its first mid-scale hotel in Pakistan, slated to open in October 2025. The hotel, named Swiss Spirit Fortress Stadium, will be a refurbishment of the existing Silver Mall.
The property, owned by entrepreneur Izaz Jaffery, will be transformed into a 75-room mid-market hotel. The hotel’s amenities include a restaurant and lounge, a café, meeting and event spaces, a pool, gym, spa, and ample parking. The building will also offer wifi throughout.
The hotel’s location, Fortress Stadium in Lahore, holds historical significance for Pakistan. Opened in 1959, the stadium has hosted numerous important cricket matches and has a seating capacity of around 27,000. The stadium, known for its passionate crowds, has also acted as a hub for various cultural events.
Jaffery, the CEO of the owning company, expressed excitement over partnering with Swiss International, noting their smart sustainability system and strong social media integration.
Jaffery has a history of pioneering real estate and hospitality projects in Pakistan, including introducing the Best Western Hotel in Islamabad and Pakistan’s first bowling arena.
Swiss International CEO Henri Kennedie expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the potential for successful hotel management in the area.
The project is a collaboration with Avenew Marketing, a leader in real estate consulting in Pakistan, which facilitated the real estate aspects of the venture.
Swiss International, founded in 1980 and headquartered in Switzerland, operates hotels across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. This new hotel strengthens Swiss International’s presence in Pakistan, further expanding its portfolio of Royal Swiss Hotels, Swiss International Hotels, and now, Swiss Spirit.
