Metallica’s latest show had some legendary faces in attendance, including Paul McCartney and Sylvester Stallone.
McCartney, 83, looked casually cool in navy slacks and black zip-up jacket while he held onto some drumsticks in photos shared by the Daily Mail on Friday, August 29. His wife, Nancy, 65, rocked an all denim look.
Stallone, 79, not only enjoyed a night out with his wife, Jennifer Flavin, but his two daughters, Sophia Rose and Scarlet, joined them as well. The Rambo star wore a navy Henley-style shirt that he paired with jeans, while Flavin, 57, sported a tan jacket over a white T-shirt and black jeans. Sophia Rose, 29, and Scarlet, 23, donned similar looks with the older sister wearing black jeans like her mom with a black tank top, while the younger Stallone stunned in a similar tan jacket.
Metallica delighted fans when they played a surprise gig at The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, NY, on August 28. The performance was in celebration of the announcement of their new Sirius XM show, Maximum Metallica. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, who have sold more than 125 million albums worldwide, turned the intimate venue into a rare arena-level spectacle.

The legendary hard rock band performed a 14–song set, including classics like “Creeping Death,” “Fade to Black,” “Nothing Else Matters,” and the earth-shaking “Master of Puppets” and “Enter Sandman.” Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo even slipped in an Ozzy Osbourne tribute with a “doodle” of “Crazy Train.” Fans who missed the surprise performance won’t be left out. The show premieres September 1 on SiriusXM’s Maximum Metallica (Channel 42), with additional replays on Howard 101 beginning September 5 at 7 p.m. ET.
