1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton issued a direct response to fan concern over facial bruising in a recent video she shared with her fiancée, Andrea Dalton.
On Thursday, Aug. 28, the TLC personality took to TikTok with a video of herself and Dalton dancing together while sitting in a car.

In the clip, the couple smiled while flashing peace signs as “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins played. They eventually did a few playful dance moves while singing along in the light-hearted update. Although many comments focused on how happy Slaton looked in the video, several followers couldn’t help but point out a sizable bruise on her chin.
One worried fan wondered, “Tammy girl why is [sic] your face have a bruise on it? You look great Tammy with your smile.”
To that, another TikTok user pointed out, “Its probably from getting teeth pulled. My whole face bruised when I got teeth pulled.”
“What’s with the bruise on her chin,” another concerned follower echoed, to which, again, someone else speculated, “Got teeth pulled.”
Someone else echoed, “You look happy and look good. But why do you have a bruise on your face??”
Yet another TikTok user asked, “Are you OK? What happened in [sic] your chin?”
Finally, Slaton confirmed the reason for her facial injury, writing, “I had teeth pulled.”

On Aug. 19, Slaton revealed her new teeth on the Creative Chaos podcast—the same podcast on which she announced her and Andrea’s engagement in June. She told host Hunter Ezell that she got her new teeth about a week earlier from Aspen Dental.
“They’re temporary still,” Slaton explained. “But they had to cement them in because the glue wasn’t holding…they had to pull teeth, and it’s a bridge. I’m still getting more done. It’s a process.”
Slaton’s smile isn’t the only thing that has undergone a transformation in recent years. At her heaviest, she tipped the scale at 725 pounds. The reality star eventually met her weight goal to qualify for bariatric surgery in July 2022. However, her progress stalled out for a bit.

As 1000-Lb Sisters fans know, Tammy revealed in August 2024 that she lost 500 pounds. After dropping so much weight, however, she had a significant amount of extra skin on her neck, abdomen and arms. She kept working hard and made even more lifestyle changes to finally qualify for excess skin removal surgery—and the results were jaw-dropping.
