Taste report: I tried the new activated charcoal menu at Booster Juice and here’s the tea

6 October 20253 Mins Read

If you’re anything like me, then you know exactly what makes a smoothie or iced drink a bold, flavour-packed treat. From unique ingredients to inventive flavour combos, the right blend is always worth celebrating.

Lucky for me, I got the special opportunity to try three new creations from Booster Juice that are bursting with fall vibes. For a limited time, Booster Juice is launching three brand-new charcoal and chai-infused items.

The crafted smoothie, Booster Mix’r, and Booster Ball are going dark, and here’s an inside scoop on what they bring to the table.

Eclipse Smoothie

Starting off bold, I dive into the eye-catching Eclipse Smoothie — an unexpected combo of chai, skim milk, vanilla frozen yogurt, bananas, cocoa, and activated charcoal.

The first sip greets you with the subtle spice of chai, quickly melting into the creamy sweetness of banana. Who knew chai and banana were a match made in heaven? The deep, dark hue ties it all together perfectly for spooky season vibes!

The Black Out Booster Mix’r

Put the fall vibes on ice with The Black Out Booster Mix’r, an icy concoction of chai, oat beverage, activated charcoal, and fresh ginger juice — topped with a cozy brown sugar oat foam.

To me, this is a refreshingly light sip with subtle floral notes picked up from the chai. The brown sugar oat foam adds just the right touch of sweetness without overwhelming the drink. I’d say this is perfect for enjoying on a crisp, sunny fall day.

Finishing my activated charcoal trio taste test was the Midnight Booster Ball. Mighty in colour and flavour, this is a unique blend of activated charcoal, dark chocolate chips, peanut butter, honey, hemp hearts, chia seeds, vanilla, and vanilla whey protein.

Out of the three new products, this was my absolute favourite! Right off the bat, your taste buds are met with that creamy peanut butter flavour, while the chocolate chips and chia seeds add a crunchy bite. Silky smooth in texture, similar to cookie dough but good for you, it’s the perfect pick-me-up for a fall afternoon.

The verdict’s in — and it’s three home runs! Distinctly bold and flavourful, I give a yay to each of these Booster Juice creations.

Warm, floral chai, tasty brown sugar oat foam, and silky peanut butter tastes are awaiting you at Booster Juice this autumn! Whether you’re looking to fuel up or get quenched with that signature Booster Juice flair, spooky season just got a whole lot darker and tastier.

Visit your local Booster Juice store and order one of these three new activated charcoal creations, available for a limited time now!
