Doechii took a page out of Taylor Swift‘s book while making her way to her grand entrance at this year’s Met Gala, and Swifties were quick to take note.
The “Anxiety” singer was one of many celebrities in attendance at the most glamorous event of the year, but she took drastic measures to make sure that nobody peeped her outfit before it was time, with one video spotting her making her way toward the Metropolitan Museum of Art hidden behind a set of rolling racks that kept her fully incognito.
They were secured together with white paper walls while members of her team provided extra security as they held umbrellas above the open top.
It was immediately reminiscent of the faux cleaning cart in which the “Karma” songstress would arrive to the Eras Tour stage each night, keeping her Lover bodysuit a secret until the moment she rose from beneath her dancer’s fans.
“taylor before every show in her totally discrete cleaning cart disguise,” one fan joked as they reshared a video of the rapper exiting her hotel undercover on X.
Eventually, Doechii made it to the red carpet, where she revealed her Louis Vuitton Suit styled by the label’s men’s creative director Pharrell Williams.
It featured a pair of checkered trouser shorts with a monogrammed blazer, accented with an LV belt buckled and a burgundy bow tie that coordinated with her burgundy socks and Mary Janes.
Swift, much to fans’ disappointment, did not make 2025 the year she returned to the Met Gala, though Travis Kelce was ever so briefly believed to be in attendance when fans mistook Sam Smith for him.
