Members of the Primm family have signed an agreement with Las Vegas-based Terrible’s to operate the family’s hotel-casino and related properties in Primm, Nevada, renewing a partnership between the two families.
Cory Clemetson, president of Primm South Real Estate Company and grandson of Primm founder Ernie Primm, said the Primm family has owned land and businesses in Primm, a town on the Nevada-California border, since the 1950s. The agreement follows a notification from previous operator Affinity Gaming and Z Capital, who informed Primm employees, residents, and state gaming regulators on May 5 of their intention to close the Primm Valley Casino Resort, Oasis Apartments, The Lotto Store, and related properties by July 4.
Clemetson said the Primm and Herbst families, who have longstanding connections in Nevada, will work to prevent the closure of these properties by July 4.
The agreement covers the Primm Valley Casino Resort, Oasis Apartments, The Lotto Store, and related properties. The Flying J travel center in Primm will continue to be operated in collaboration with the Primm family, according to Sam Edgmon of the Pilot Company.
Future plans for the Primm properties may include renovations, upgraded traveler amenities, enhanced food and beverage offerings, infrastructure improvements, and other investments.
