Tesla Cybertruck getting hate after one spotted blocking streetcar in Toronto

20 February 20252 Mins Read

It’s been a bad week for Tesla Cybertrucks in Canada. After a video circulated of a Cybertruck stuck in the snow in Montreal, a Toronto transit rider reported that one of the electric trucks blocked a streetcar.

Pictures posted to the Toronto Reddit community show a Cybertruck parked on College Street blocking the 506 streetcar on Wednesday morning. The Reddit post also noted there was another blockage not related to the Cybertruck two minutes down the road.

While vehicles blocking streetcars is nothing new in Toronto, especially in winter, the involvement of the Cybertruck seems to have struck a chord among transit riders.

The post is full of replies mocking the Cybertruck. Some joked about the vehicle’s incredible off-roading capabilities, while others referred to the Cybertruck as a ‘dumpster’ — a common jab based on how the truck looks.

One Redditor suggested giving the driver a break because he probably just “ruined his warranty driving in snow.”

It’s also worth pointing out that the Cybertruck driver could face a fine, and not just for the poor parking job.

Per the City’s website, all streetcar routes are designated snow routes and parking on a snow route during a major snow event could result in a fine of up to $200.
