The Alberta Aviation Museum is turning into the ultimate adult summer camp experience

13 July 20263 Mins Read

Props and Hops is back for another year, bringing adults-only fun to the Alberta Aviation Museum on one night only.

Last year, the Alberta Aviation Museum hosted Props and Hops with a game-night theme. There was a live DJ, games to play, drinks to sip, and so much more for you and your friends to take part in. This August, the museum is turning into the ultimate summer camp experience for grown-ups.

Classic campfire vibes will meet a night on the town on this evening, and we couldn’t be more excited. It’s going to be nothing short of a good vibe, so get you and your friends ready for an experience to remember.

What to expect at Props and Hops

On Friday, Aug. 14, the Alberta Aviation Museum will open after-hours for this highly anticipated event. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., you’ll be able to roam around and explore everything they have to offer.

Surrounded by historic aircraft, this evening will combine the best parts of camp life and the extraordinary history of aircraft. You’ll be able to experience the museum in an entirely new way, not to mention you’ll be making a ton of new memories with friends, family, or a special loved one.

There will be a live DJ, just like its predecessor event, as well as a bunch of camp-themed activities, food trucks to snack on, and access to the museum’s flight simulators for the ultimate aviation experience.

In addition to the food trucks, there will also be a number of distilleries and breweries available on site for you to sample some of their sips. With this, you’ll be able to enjoy a drink ticket system, similar to Taste of Edmonton, to streamline the process.

Early-bird pricing starts at $25, regular-priced tickets are $30, and you can expect to pay $35 at the door. We’d recommend buying your tickets as soon as possible, as these events tend to be extremely popular and spots are limited.

If you consider yourself anything close to an aviation fan or even someone who likes to explore what Edmonton has to offer, this evening will definitely be up your alley. It’s not often this rolls around, so don’t miss out.

When: Friday, Aug. 14, 2026
Time: 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: 11410 Kingsway NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $25+
