The Best Hotel In Tenerife According To , Canada Reviews

15 September 20252 Mins Read

Tenerife is popular for a reason. It stays sunny almost all year round, it’s got more than 100 sandy beaches to choose from, and it’s got some stunning hotels if you’re looking for a luxurious trip.

And if you’re about to book a holiday to Tenerife but don’t know where to stay, don’t worry. We at just updated our list of the very best hotels on the island with ‘new openings, old classics and everything in between’, and a brand new winner to boot. Our team is full of travel experts who have stayed in all sorts of hotels across the world, so they know what really makes a place shine.

So where’s our top choice? The Ritz-Carlton Abama topped the list, getting a full five stars from us.

This secluded hilltop abode is like something from a postcard, with sprawling views of the sapphire-blue waters and golden sand, and nothing else around to bother you. As ’s travel editor Grace Beard put it, ‘this place is stop-you-in-your-tracks gorgeous’.

Grace continues that guests should ‘expect unadulterated luxury’. Everything here has been carefully thought through; private rooms ‘meander through the eucalyptus trees’, suites are complete with ‘rust-hued furnishings, hanging bulbs, and a spacious his-and-hers bathroom’, and ‘a long, winding pool’ awaits. You’re never left wanting for anything – between the nearly 1000 employees there’s always someone ready to help.

That’s not all. Grace asserts that ‘its myriad of exceptional dining options are by far its greatest draw’, with Michelin-level Japanese cookery on offer for dinner, and a breakfast room ‘featuring low jazz music, heaters, and views overlooking the Atlantic’.

If food isn’t your thing, you might be more enticed by the seven separate pools, or the 18-hole golf course. Or the luxury gym. Or the ‘enormous’ spa. You get the picture.

In second place was the equally luxe Gran Melia Palacio de Isora, and the ‘terrecotta labyrinth’ Barceló Tenerife. You can read more about them, and the rest of our Tenerife choices, below.

Have a look at the rest of ’s top hotels in Tenerife now.
