This year marks the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, and despite being old enough to have two-day hangovers and chronic lower back pain, the franchise shows no signs of slowing down. Pokémon Pokopia has become the first major Nintendo Switch 2 hit of 2026, selling more than 2.2 million copies in just four days. And since Pokopia‘s a console exclusive, that means there’s been a surge in sales of the Switch 2 as well.

If you’re looking for some affordable storage for an older Switch console, this vibrant red-and-yellow model from PowerA is a great option for under 10 bucks. It’s compatible with Switch 1, Switch Lite, and the OLED model — but note that it will not fit the Nintendo Switch 2.
