The City of Vancouver is hiring for dozens of different jobs across its departments, and one of them just might have your name on it! Dust off your resumes, review some interview questions, and get ready to put your best foot forward.

According to the City, all staff jobs come with a competitive base pay, flexible work arrangements, and extended health and dental coverage.

Many of the following jobs were just posted over the past week, so now is the ideal time to apply!

Engineering Services

The City’s Engineering Services division has tons of open positions right now, ranging from an Engineering Project Coordinator ($40.34 to $47.62 per hour) to a Landscape Architect I ($51.70 to $61.13 per hour), to a
Civil Engineer II – Pavement Design Asset Management ($114,465 to $143,092 per annum).

According to the City, its Engineering Services department is responsible for “infrastructure essential to the quality of life for residents and businesses,” which includes everything from sewage and drainage to public spaces, transportation, and water distribution.

Parks & Recreation

The Parks & Recreation department page says that employees connect residents to green spaces across the city, with jobs at parks, golf courses, community centres, playing fields, destination beaches, and gardens.

Open roles here currently include a Utility Maintenance Worker I – Pools ($28.10 to $32.92 per hour), Utility Maintenance Worker II – Ice Rinks ($29.20 to $34.30 per hour), ($35.72 to $42.04 per hour), and Fitness Centre Worker ($27.39 to $32.20 per hour), to name just a few.

Other departments hiring

Finally, there are a handful of jobs in Corporate Services, Community and Social Development, Operations and Trades, and more:

Good luck, applicants!
