When it comes to learning in interactive settings, why should kids have all the fun?

If you’re missing the euphoria of field trips, looking for a creative way to spend a night out, or want to learn something new in an adults-only setting, there are plenty of events happening in Calgary this summer. From the TELUS Spark Centre to the Bow River, here are eight events where you’ll learn a thing or two — and have fun in the process.

Grab a drink, make new friends, and discover the neuroscience behind burnout from Dr. Ty “The Neuroguy” McKinney. Because you know you’re running on empty, but do you know why?

When: Tuesday, June 3, 2025

This free workshop will allow you to unlock your story, play with rhythms and melodies, and turn it all into a song. Musical ability isn’t required, but an open mind sure is!

This Spark After Dark fan-favourite is back again for Pride Month. Beyond the Rainbow…AGAIN features a Pride market, local drag performers, educational speakers, a collaborative art project, and other exciting feats of science.

Coffee snobs, enthusiasts, this one’s for you. Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roasters is hosting a coffee tasting where you’ll be guided through the different elements that create the perfect cup of Joe. You’ll also get a tour of the roasterie and a bag of coffee to take home.
